last night after writing the first peice, I watched the Film - Transendence (Main Character played by Johnny Depp), something that the computer industry and acedemia are working towards. For anyone who has seen the film, you will know that the words said by Paul Bettany's character talking about people being afraid of what they don't understand.
Yes, at the moment the story of Transendence is Sci-fi, but technology is moving so fast and getting faster, or so it seems.
The only problem with films like this is that the world becomes a very, bleak and sad place, because the idea/truth of a God as creator tends to be seen, as irrelevant in this time, as if we have done such a good job. Indeed many people don't consider the need for any belief system, other than ones they pick and choose from as and when they feel the need.
Our separation from belief in a God, has actually, it seems created a need in the world to make our own god's, of science, celebrity, even the possible healing of the Earth, is viewed to be within our capabilities, by the human race in general.
There are many who find the need for a God in their lives, as I do myself. The connection to the reality of another place and a being who created the world for us, from another world that may have existed before.
This is love and care beyond anything any human can give, on any level.
The bible has many uncomfortable things within it, that I would not like to think that the person of God could do. However, I realise that my interpretation and understanding of those things may be twisted, by the lies and the experiences of our natural lives.
One day we will have transendence, but not in the way we think, the Earth will be healed and it will be what God created it to be, before the lie was brought by the human race. We will have to do it with him because we don't know the damage we will do if we continue to go our own way. Believing what we wish, doing as we wish and believing it to be freedom, with suicide, Mental illness, stabbings, shootings, murder growing.
The tears of a God who does all he can , and has done all he can and will continue to do all he can, is waiting for all those who don't even know of him to be told, by those who do love him. Those tears fall for every generation who has lived, and yet not succeeded in this task, maybe because they were never meant to, and now this generation is different. We will see things and experience true life and true living.
